ABES Placements 2027-28: Packages, Recruiters and Real Numbers
The ₹45 LPA banner, the ₹4.50 LPA median, the offer bands most sites skip, and branch-wise numbers from ABES's own department pages
Two numbers off ABES's own website tell you most of what you need. Highest package: ₹45 LPA. Median salary: ₹4.50 LPA. Both are true. One student got ₹45 lakh. The student right in the middle of the batch got ₹4.5 lakh. That gap is the whole story.
We'll give ABES credit, though. It publishes far more than most colleges around it. The placement page says 489 companies and 1,289 placements for 2025-26. The homepage adds 1,870 offers, 80.06% placement and offer bands. Department pages go further, branch by branch. That's where you see the real picture.
One warning. ABES's own pages don't always agree. One says 2025-26. An older homepage snapshot for 2025 showed 1,692 offers and ₹60 LPA. And ₹59.9 LPA at Atlassian shows up from 2023-24. Different batches, different dates. Sites that blend them create numbers that never existed. We've kept every figure tied to its year and page.
ABES Placement Record: What the College Publishes
ABES Placement Figures, Page by Page
All from ABES's own site. We've noted which page each came from, because they don't match.
| Measure | Figure | Page | Our reading |
|---|---|---|---|
| Snapshot year | 2025-26 on placement page; 2026 glimpse on homepage | Both | Two labels, maybe two dates |
| Highest package | ₹45 LPA | Both | One offer, one student |
| Median | ₹4.50 LPA | Homepage | The most honest number here |
| Placements | 1,289 | Homepage | Students or offers? Not stated |
| Offers | 1,870 | Homepage | Higher, because some students got several |
| Placement rate | 80.06% | Homepage | 80% of whom? Ask |
| Companies | 489; 500+ | Placement page; homepage | Different counts |
| ₹5-7 LPA offers | 444 | Homepage | Called Super Offers |
| ₹7-9 LPA offers | 270 | Homepage | Called Dream Offers |
| ₹10 LPA+ offers | 89 | Homepage | Called Super Dream Offers |
| Older 2025 snapshot | 1,692 offers, ₹60 LPA, 500+ recruiters | Homepage, earlier | Different batch. Don't mix |
Add the three bands: 803 offers. Total offers: 1,870. So about 1,067 offers aren't in any band. With a ₹4.50 LPA median, most of those are likely under ₹5 LPA.
89 offers above ₹10 LPA, in a year where ABES takes in 1,800 B.Tech students. Good if you're one of them. Not something to plan on.
The ₹59.9 LPA Atlassian offer you keep seeing? Real. Also from 2023-24, three batches back.
Without knowing if 1,289 means students or offers, you can't really compare it with 1,870. That's on the college to clarify.
Why the Median Beats the Highest Package
If you take one thing from this page, make it this.
- Highest package: The single best offer. One student, one company. Nothing about you
- Average: Gets dragged up by a few big offers
- Median: The middle student. Half got less, half got more. Closest thing to "typical"
- Placement percentage: Useless without knowing what it's a percentage of
- Number of offers: Counts offers, not people. Four offers to one student counts as four
- Offer bands: The honest spread. ABES publishing these is genuinely to its credit
₹45 LPA versus ₹4.50 LPA. Ten times apart. Plan on the second. Anything more is a bonus.
ABES Branch-wise Placement Data
This is where the college number falls apart, and fair play to ABES for publishing department data at all. Plenty of colleges don't. These figures come from different batches with different definitions, so don't add them up.
| Programme | Seats | Department data | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|---|
| B.Tech CSE | 900 | Inside the college-wide figures | Half the intake, and most recruiters come for it |
| B.Tech CSE (AI and ML) | 360 | Inside the college-wide figures | Software drives usually include it |
| B.Tech CSE (Data Science) | 180 | Batch data for 2022-26, 2021-25, 2020-24 | 2022-26 is still running, so not final |
| B.Tech ECE | 180 | 2025: 88 placed, 121 offers, 101 companies, 66.67%, ₹7.65 LPA top | Realistic non-CSE picture |
| B.Tech Electrical and Computer | 120 | Recruiters include Vodafone, TCS, Indus Tower, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, EXL | Check the year before comparing |
| B.Tech Mechanical | 60 | Ask the department | Smallest batch |
| MCA | 180 | 2025: 140 placed, 182 offers, 113 companies, 77.78%, ₹12.93 LPA top | Strong for a PG course |
| BCA | 120 | Nothing published that we found | Ask before you join |
ECE's top offer was ₹7.65 LPA. The college banner says ₹45 LPA. Same college, both true. If you're in ECE, the first number is yours.

Companies That Recruit at ABES
These names are on ABES's placement and department pages. A logo means the company has hired there at some point. Not every year, not every branch, and maybe not for your profile.
One question beats the whole logo wall: did this company run a drive here in the last two years, and for which branches?
Internships at ABES
Listed: Amazon, Atlassian, Autodesk, Axalta, Google, KPMG, LG, LinkedIn, NEC, Newgen Software, Walmart, Veersa
Several aren't on the main recruiter list
Numbers, branches and stipends not published
Always ask about conversion to a full-time job
How to Prepare for ABES Placements
What actually moves the needle, based on what campus drives at colleges like this test.
- Core subjects: Keep them solid from first year. A backlog gets you filtered out before any interview
- DSA: Non-negotiable for software roles, whatever your branch. Start in second year
- Projects: Two or three you really understand beat ten you copied
- Aptitude: First round of most services drives. Easiest to clear, most often failed
- Speaking: GD and HR rounds knock out good coders every year. Practise out loud
- Internships: One summer internship changes your CV completely
- Eligibility: Read every notice: CGPA cutoff, backlog rule, branches, multiple-offer policy
Those 89 offers above ₹10 LPA didn't go to students who started preparing in final year.
ABES Placement Figures by Year
Every year we could find on ABES's pages, kept apart so you know which is which.
| Batch or snapshot | What ABES published | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 2025-26 placement page | 489 companies, 1,289 placements, ₹45 LPA top | Placement page |
| 2026 homepage glimpse | 1,870 offers, 80.06%, ₹4.50 LPA median, ₹45 LPA top, 500+ recruiters | Homepage |
| 2026 offer bands | 444 at ₹5-7 LPA, 270 at ₹7-9 LPA, 89 at ₹10 LPA+ | Homepage |
| Older 2025 snapshot | 1,692 offers, ₹60 LPA top, 500+ recruiters | Homepage, earlier |
| 2025 ECE | 88 placed, 121 offers, 101 companies, 66.67%, ₹7.65 LPA top | ECE page |
| 2025 MCA | 140 placed, 182 offers, 113 companies, 77.78%, ₹12.93 LPA top | MCA page |
| 2024-25 | ₹40 LPA offers at Amazon | Placement page |
| 2023-24 | ₹59.9 LPA at Atlassian, the highest ever shown | Placement page |
The top offer went ₹59.9 LPA, then ₹40 LPA, then ₹45 LPA. It bounces because it's one student. The median moves slowly, and honestly.
What Parents Should Actually Ask
Parents, these seven questions will get you further than any brochure.
- What's the median for my child's branch? Not the college. The branch.
- How many in the branch were eligible, how many sat for drives, and how many got placed? Three numbers.
- Is 1,289 students placed, or offers made?
- Which companies hired from this branch in the last two years? With dates.
- What CGPA and backlog rules apply, and how many students do they knock out?
- How many offers in this branch were above ₹5 LPA? College-wide, it's 803 out of 1,870.
- Are internships paid, and how many turned into jobs last year?
Which Branch Gets Which Kind of Offer
Going by the recruiters ABES lists against each department.
- CSE: Product firms and big IT services
- CSE (AI and ML): Software and data employers
- CSE (Data Science): Analytics and services firms
- ECE: Electronics, telecom, IT services
- Electrical and Computer: Telecom, infra, IT services
- Mechanical: Manufacturing and design firms
- MCA: IT services and software firms
- BCA: IT services
Notice how IT services firms hire from nearly every branch, even mechanical. Normal in India. It's why so many mechanical grads end up writing code.
Which Sectors Actually Hire at ABES
By sector, with the kind of first job each one usually offers.
| Sector | Companies | First-job roles |
|---|---|---|
| IT services | TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, DXC | Software engineer, developer, analyst |
| Product and tech | Microsoft, Adobe, Atlassian, Google, Cisco | Software, technical consulting, cloud |
| E-commerce | Amazon, Walmart | Software, data, operations |
| Electronics | Texas Instruments | Embedded, hardware, testing |
| Telecom and infra | Vodafone, Indus Tower | Network ops, field engineering, support |
| Consulting and finance tech | Goldman Sachs, KPMG | Tech analyst, risk and data |
| Software firms | Chetu, Newgen Software, Veersa | Developer, support, implementation |
| Analytics | EXL, Hiremi | Analyst, data and process roles |
Services firms give the volume. Product firms give the headlines, and hire far fewer people.
How Campus Placements Work at ABES
Pretty standard across Indian engineering colleges. Knowing the order in advance helps.
- Register with the placement cell. Keep your CGPA up and backlogs at zero, because that's checked first.
- Watch each notice: company, branches, CGPA cutoff, role.
- Only apply where you qualify. Spamming every drive wastes your slots.
- First round, usually aptitude or a coding test. Most people go out here.
- Technical interview. Know every line on your CV.
- HR round. Shorter, but people do fail it.
- The offer. Read it properly: fixed versus variable pay, location, any bond, joining date.
Ask about the multiple-offer policy. It decides whether you can keep trying for better companies after your first offer.
Eight Things That Actually Help
Not generic advice. The habits that separate placed and unplaced students at colleges like this.
- Keep your CGPA above common cutoffs from semester one. You can't fix it in final year.
- Clear backlogs the same year. One pending paper locks you out of most drives.
- Start DSA in second year if you want a software job, whatever your branch.
- Build two or three projects you can explain line by line.
- Keep a GitHub with real commit history. Recruiters can check it in thirty seconds.
- Get a summer internship after second or third year.
- Practise aptitude every week, not the night before.
- Practise talking about your projects out loud, in English. HR rounds kill good coders every year.
The Offer Bands, Read Properly
| Band | Offers | Share of 1,870 |
|---|---|---|
| ₹10 LPA and above | 89 | Under 5% |
| ₹7-9 LPA | 270 | About 14% |
| ₹5-7 LPA | 444 | About 24% |
| Not banded | 1,067 | About 57% |
ABES bands 803 offers. The other 1,067 aren't broken down. Given the ₹4.50 LPA median, most likely sit below ₹5 LPA. Ask to confirm.
What CTC Means on an Offer Letter
CTC is cost to company. It's not your salary. It can include variable pay, the employer's PF share, insurance, gratuity, even a one-time joining bonus counted as yearly pay. A ₹6 LPA CTC often turns into something like ₹38,000 to ₹42,000 a month in hand, not ₹50,000. When you get an offer, ask for the breakup: what's fixed, what's variable and on what terms, any bond. Two offers with the same CTC can land very differently in your account.

- 2025-26: ₹24.48 LPA, Yashika, Horizon X, Trainee
- 2025-26: ₹24.40 LPA, Anuj Mishra, Cisco, Technical Consulting Engineer

How to Compare ABES Placements With Another College
Make a table with four rows and fill it in honestly for both colleges. One: median salary for your branch. Two: eligible and placed students in your branch, as separate numbers. Three: how many offers crossed ₹5 LPA. Four: total cost including hostel. ABES gives you enough to fill most of it, which plenty of colleges won't. If the other college refuses to share branch numbers at all, well, that's your answer.
| Compare | ABES | Other college |
|---|---|---|
| Branch median | Ask the department; college median ₹4.50 LPA | |
| Eligible in branch | Ask the department | |
| Placed in branch | ECE 2025: 88. MCA 2025: 140 | |
| Offers above ₹5 LPA | 803 of 1,870 | |
| Companies at branch | ECE 2025: 101. MCA 2025: 113 | |
| Cost with hostel | ₹1,81,200 plus ₹1,36,500 upward |
Fill the empty column during counselling. A table you built from real numbers beats any ranking.
A Realistic Expectation
If a student joining ABES CSE for 2027-28 asked us straight, here's what we'd say. You're joining a college with a working placement cell, close to 500 companies, and a middle outcome of ₹4.5 to 6 LPA. Do the bare minimum and you'll likely land a services job in that range. That's an okay start. Practise DSA from second year, build real projects, get an internship, keep your CGPA clean, and you've got a genuine shot at those 89 offers above ₹10 LPA. They exist, and they go to ABES students. What won't happen is ₹45 LPA showing up just because you enrolled. That went to one student out of about 1,800.
Frequently Asked Questions
How to Read Any College's Placement Page
Six habits that'll protect you at any college.
- Find the batch year first. No year, no number.
- Separate offers from people placed.
- Ask what any percentage is a percentage of.
- Median over average. Both over the highest package.
- Check if internships or off-campus jobs are counted in.
- Go to the department page. The college number is an average of very different branches.
ABES is actually a good college to try this on, because it publishes enough for it to work. Bands, median, department data, named students. Most private colleges give you one big number and a wall of logos. Use what ABES shows, ask your department for the rest, and decide on the numbers that apply to you.
