AKGEC Ranking 2026: NAAC A++, NIRF, NBA and AICTE Status
What AKGEC's accreditation and approval documents really say, whether it has a NIRF rank, and which B.Tech branches had NBA
Let's start with the strongest claim. AKGEC's accreditation page says the college holds a NAAC A++ grade, the top band NAAC gives. It's AICTE approved and affiliated to AKTU Lucknow. Five B.Tech branches had NBA accreditation for 2022-23 to 2024-25, valid up to 30 June 2025: CSE, ECE, Electrical and Electronics, IT and Mechanical.
What's missing is a NIRF rank. AKGEC's name is on NIRF's 2025 list of engineering participants, and the college has uploaded its NIRF 2026 data for Engineering and Innovation. But sending data and getting ranked are not the same thing, and plenty of websites blur that line.
On this page we go through each recognition one by one: what it means, which dates apply, and how much weight to give it when you're comparing AKGEC with other AKTU colleges.
AKGEC Rankings and Recognitions 2026
Everything AKGEC lists in terms of approvals, accreditation and ranking.
| Body | Category or Focus | Position / Status |
|---|---|---|
| NAAC | Whole-college quality assessment | A++ grade (as stated by the college) |
| AICTE | Approval for engineering and technology programmes | Extension of approval for 2025-26 |
| AKTU, Lucknow | University affiliation | Letter for 2024-25 to 2026-27 |
| NBA | B.Tech CSE, ECE, EEE, IT, Mechanical | Accredited 2022-23 to 2024-25, valid to 30 June 2025 |
| NIRF 2025 | Engineering | Participating institution; no rank shown |
| NIRF 2026 | Engineering and Innovation | Data submitted |
You'll notice none of these is an all-India rank number. They're accreditations, approvals and participation.
AKGEC Recognitions at a Glance
In short:
Of everything here, NAAC A++ carries the most weight. Ask to see the actual certificate and its validity dates.
- NAAC A++: The highest grade band in NAAC's scale, as stated on the college's accreditation page.
- AICTE approved: Engineering and technology programmes approved for 2025-26.
- AKTU affiliated: Degrees awarded by AKTU Lucknow; affiliation letter runs to 2026-27.
- NBA (5 branches): CSE, ECE, EEE, IT and Mechanical, up to 30 June 2025.
- NIRF: Participated in 2025; no published rank.
AKGEC NAAC Accreditation
AKGEC's "NBA, NAAC Accreditation Status" page says it's accredited by NAAC with an A++ grade, and the IQAC section links to the certificate. NAAC looks at the whole college: teaching, research, infrastructure, student support and how it's run. A++ is the highest band there is. Every NAAC grade is valid only for a fixed cycle, though, so check the dates on the certificate before you lean on it.
AKGEC AICTE Approval
Without AICTE approval, a college can't run technical courses, and the approval also fixes how many seats it can have. On AKGEC's approvals page, the latest AICTE letter covers engineering and technology courses up to 2025-26. These letters are issued year by year. When you take admission, the one to ask for is the 2026-27 letter.
AKGEC NBA Accreditation
NBA doesn't accredit colleges, it accredits individual programmes. AKGEC lists five B.Tech programmes (CSE, ECE, Electrical and Electronics, IT and Mechanical) as accredited for 2022-23 to 2024-25, valid up to 30 June 2025. That date's gone. Unless the college shows you a newer letter, don't assume these branches are still accredited for students passing out after June 2025. And note that AI-ML, Data Science, CS (Hindi) and Civil were never on that list.
AKGEC NIRF Status
NIRF is the national ranking run by the Ministry of Education. AKGEC is on NIRF's 2025 participants list for engineering, and the college site has a page with its NIRF 2026 data in Engineering and Innovation. Neither one is a rank. A college has a NIRF rank only when it shows up in the ranked table for a particular year and category, and the participants list doesn't establish one for AKGEC.
AKGEC AKTU Affiliation
Every AKGEC student follows the AKTU syllabus, writes AKTU semester exams and gets an AKTU degree. The college lists an affiliation letter for 2024-25 to 2026-27. AKTU is also the one that collects the exam and digital library fees you pay separately.
How to Verify AKGEC's Recognition Yourself
You don't have to take anyone's word for any of this, including ours. For NAAC, go to the IQAC section on AKGEC's website, read the grade and validity dates on the certificate, and then match it on NAAC's own website. For AICTE, look for the letter for the year you're joining. For NBA, check the branch name and the "valid up to" date. For NIRF, open the ranked table on the NIRF website for that year and category and search for AKGEC. If it's only in the participants list, it wasn't ranked.
Why AKGEC Shows Grades, Not a Rank
There's no single "AKGEC rank" anywhere. Here's why.
- Accreditation isn't ranking. NAAC and NBA check a college against a standard. They don't line colleges up in order.
- NBA works branch by branch. It only covers the listed programmes, and the dates matter.
- Taking part in NIRF isn't a rank. Sending data is step one. Only the ranked table counts.
- Approvals are permissions, not scores. AICTE and AKTU letters just confirm the college can run its courses.
How Strong Is AKGEC's Standing?
Among private AKTU colleges in Ghaziabad and Delhi NCR, a NAAC A++ grade does put AKGEC in a strong spot, at least on paper. It's been running since 1998, and 225 companies came for placements in 2025. The weak points are the missing NIRF rank and the NBA listing that ran out in June 2025. If it's between AKGEC and another AKTU college for you, put the branch you want, its fee and its placement record side by side and decide on that.
AKGEC Recognition Timeline
Every approval and accreditation is valid for a set period. Here's how they line up.

What You Should Know Before Using AKGEC Rankings
Use these to shortlist. Then dig into the details for your branch.
- NAAC A++ is for the college as a whole, not for any specific branch.
- Ask if your branch has a current NBA letter. The one listed expired on 30 June 2025.
- There's no NIRF rank to compare with other colleges.
- Fee: ₹4,98,124 for four years of B.Tech, same for every branch.
- Placements: 225 companies, 1,096 offers and a ₹30 LPA top offer in 2025.

Fees are from the 2026-27 sheet. Placement figures come from the 2025 brochure and the MCA placement page.
What Ranking and Accreditation Bodies Look At
- NIRF: Teaching and resources, research, graduation outcomes, outreach and perception.
- NAAC: Curriculum, teaching and evaluation, research, infrastructure, student support, governance and best practices.
- NBA: Programme outcomes, curriculum, faculty, student performance and continuous improvement for each branch.
- AICTE: Land, buildings, labs, faculty and intake rules for running a course.
Common Mistakes When Reading AKGEC Rankings
- Calling NAAC A++ a national rank.
- Thinking NIRF participation means a NIRF rank.
- Assuming every branch has NBA.
- Missing that the NBA listing ended on 30 June 2025.
- Picking a college on badges alone, without checking fees and placements for your branch.
Is AKGEC Worth It Based on Rankings?
AKGEC is NAAC A++, AICTE approved and AKTU affiliated. But there's no published NIRF rank, and the NBA listing ended in June 2025. Let the recognition get it onto your shortlist. Let placements and fees make the final call.
- Good fit for: students who want an AKTU B.Tech in Delhi NCR for under ₹5 lakh in fees.
- Biggest strength: the NAAC A++ grade.
- Check first: a current NBA letter for your branch, and placement numbers for your branch.
