AKGEC Placements 2026: ₹30 LPA Highest Package and Top Recruiters
What the 2025 brochure and the latest company-wise sheets really show: 1,096 offers, 225 companies, a ₹30 LPA top package, and how much most students actually got
Start with the brochure numbers. AKGEC's 2025 placement brochure lists 1,133 students who registered, 1,096 offers, 739 of them exclusive, and 225 companies that came to campus. The biggest single package was ₹30 LPA. For the batch after that, the 2025-26 company-wise sheet has a total of 1,190, and the best listed offer there is ION Group at ₹17 LPA.
Now the more useful part. The brochure also sorts 1,022 students by salary. 520 of them got under ₹5 LPA. Another 472 got between ₹5 and 10 LPA. Only 30 went above ₹10 LPA. AKGEC doesn't publish an average or median for B.Tech, so these bands are honestly the best picture you'll get of a normal outcome.
Placements are handled by the Training and Placement (T&P) Department. It brings companies in, runs aptitude and soft-skill training and arranges industrial training. MCA keeps its own record: 29 offers in 2026, ₹9 LPA at the top and ₹6.0 LPA on average.
AKGEC Placements 2026: Overview
The T&P Department is the office that runs campus drives for B.Tech, M.Tech and MCA. It invites companies, checks which branches each one wants and organises the selection days.
Before final year starts, it runs training in aptitude, technical topics and soft skills, plus personality development sessions to help with communication and nerves.
Some branches get 4 to 6 weeks of industrial training arranged through this office.
Every year the college puts out a company-wise sheet. It lists the company, the branches it allowed, how many final offers it made and the CTC.
All packages are CTC figures. CTC can include variable pay and benefits, so what lands in your account each month will be less than CTC divided by 12.
AKGEC Placement Numbers
The main numbers, from the 2025 brochure and the company-wise sheets.
| Placement Measure | Figure and What It Means |
|---|---|
| Highest package (2025) | ₹30 LPA: one student's best offer, not a typical salary |
| Total offers (2025) | 1,096: one student can hold more than one offer |
| Exclusive offers (2025) | 739: ask T&P how this is counted before comparing |
| Registered students (2025) | 1,133 students signed up for placements |
| Below ₹5 LPA | 520 students |
| ₹5 to 10 LPA | 472 students |
| ₹10 to 20 LPA | 24 students |
| Above ₹20 LPA | 6 students |
| 2025-26 company-wise total | 1,190 |
| 2024-25 company-wise total | 1,394 |
| MCA 2026 | 29 offers, ₹9 LPA highest, ₹6.0 LPA average, 10 recruiters |
Around 97% of the students in the brochure's salary bands were placed below ₹10 LPA. Set your expectations around ₹5 to 10 LPA. ₹30 LPA is not the norm.
1,096 offers for 1,133 registered students sounds like almost everyone got placed. Not quite. An offer count and a placed-student count are two different things.
There's no published average or median for B.Tech. Ask T&P for your branch's figure.
Why the Package Bands Matter More Than ₹30 LPA
One big offer doesn't tell you much about the rest of the batch. These numbers do.
- 520 below ₹5 LPA: The largest group in the 2025 brochure. Many mass recruiters offer starting packages in this range.
- 472 at ₹5 to 10 LPA: Close behind. Offers like TCS at ₹7.30 LPA and Intellipaat at ₹8 LPA fall in this band.
- 30 above ₹10 LPA: Under 3% of students in the bands. These go to the top performers.
- 225 companies: A wide recruiter list means more chances to sit for interviews.
When you talk to T&P, ask how many unique students got placed in your branch. Total offers alone can mislead.
AKGEC Course-wise Placements
AKGEC publishes company-wise data showing which branches each company allowed. It doesn't publish a branch-wise average. So here's what the records tell us, course by course.
| Programme | Example Offers in Records | Where Students Get Hired |
|---|---|---|
| B.Tech CSE / IT and CSE specialisations | ION Group ₹17 LPA, SHL ₹10.65 LPA, Info Edge ₹10 LPA | Software development, IT services, product firms |
| B.Tech ECE | ION Group ₹17 LPA, Rohde and Schwarz ₹8.5 to 10 LPA | Embedded, telecom, software |
| B.Tech EEE / Mechanical / Civil | HCL Technologies ₹4.5 LPA (EN), Infosys and TCS all-branch drives | Core engineering, manufacturing, IT roles |
| MCA | ₹9 LPA highest, ₹6.0 LPA average (2026) | Software, testing, IT support |
| M.Tech | Rohde and Schwarz India (M.Tech ECE) | Specialist and R&D roles |
Packages are from the 2025-26 company-wise sheet and the MCA placement page. They're examples, not averages for the branch.

Not every company here hires from every branch, every year. Check who's eligible before each drive.
Internships and Industrial Training at AKGEC
Some branches get 4 to 6 weeks of industrial training, set up by T&P.
In the Centres of Excellence, students work on projects using industry tools. Second-year M.Tech students can even get paid for part-time work there, ₹10,000 a month.
Tech clubs and professional chapters hold competitions and workshops. Each one is another thing to put on your CV.
Choose your training based on the job you want. A software internship helps in IT drives. Plant or site training helps when you face core interviews.
How AKGEC Prepares You for Placements
T&P starts training well before companies arrive.
- Aptitude training: Practice for the online tests most companies use to shortlist
- Technical training: Revision of programming and branch fundamentals for interviews
- Soft-skill training: Group discussion, self-introduction and interview practice
- Personality development (PDP): Communication and confidence sessions; B.Tech students pay ₹3,500 for it in the second year
- Career planning and placement fee: A one-time ₹10,000 in the first year covers the placement function
- Industrial training: 4 to 6 weeks for specified branches
The training works only if you show up and practise. In big mass drives, the aptitude test knocks out most people.
AKGEC Placement Totals by Year
These totals are from the college's own documents, which don't all count the same way. Use them as a rough trend, nothing more.
| Source | Total Shown | Highest Listed |
|---|---|---|
| 2024-25 company-wise summary | 1,394 | Ask T&P |
| 2025 placement brochure | 1,096 offers | ₹30 LPA |
| 2025-26 company-wise summary | 1,190 | ₹17 LPA (ION Group) among listed offers |
| MCA 2026 | 29 offers | ₹9 LPA |
Before comparing years, ask T&P whether each total is offers or students.
What You Should Know About AKGEC Placement Numbers
Worth reading before you put AKGEC next to another college.
- ₹30 LPA was one person's offer. About 97% in the 2025 bands got under ₹10 LPA.
- Offers and placed students aren't the same. One student can have two or three offers.
- There's no college-wide average or median for B.Tech.
- CTC includes variable pay and benefits. Ask what the fixed salary is.
- Some offers come with a training bond or service agreement. Read it before signing.
- Every company sets its own branch and marks rules. Check before each drive.
AKGEC Placements by Branch
Where people from each branch usually end up.
- B.Tech CSE: Software developer, product engineer, IT services, testing
- CSE (AI and ML): ML and data roles, software engineering
- CSE (Data Science): Data analyst, business intelligence, data engineering
- B.Tech IT: Application development, cloud and network roles, IT operations

- Mechanical: Manufacturing, design, quality, robotics, automotive
- Civil: Construction, site engineering, infrastructure projects

AKGEC Placement Process
How it usually goes, from training to offer letter.
- Do the aptitude, technical and soft-skill training before final year.
- Complete industrial training if your branch has it.
- Register with T&P for campus placements.
- For each drive, check which branches and marks it needs on the T&P notice.
- Get through the online test, group discussion and interviews.
- Read the offer letter: fixed pay, variable pay, location, bond, joining date.
Lots of companies filter on backlogs and marks. Keep your record clean from semester one.
How to Get a Better Placement at AKGEC
Things you can start doing from year one.
- Do some coding practice every week from the second semester, even in a core branch.
- Build two or three projects you can explain line by line.
- Don't skip aptitude training. The online test is where most people get cut.
- No backlogs. Many companies won't even let you sit otherwise.
- Use your industrial training to get a real project and someone who'll vouch for you.
- Make a one-page CV. Real skills, real projects, no fluff.
- In mass recruiters, go for the higher roles. Infosys, for instance, has roles at ₹9.5 LPA and above.
Fee vs Package: Return on Investment
| Course | Total Fee | Package Reference | Rough Payback |
|---|---|---|---|
| B.Tech | ₹4,98,124 | ₹5 LPA (lower end of the largest band) | About 1 year |
| B.Tech | ₹4,98,124 | ₹10 LPA | About 6 months |
| MCA | ₹2,54,412 | ₹6.0 LPA average (2026) | About 6 months |
Payback here just compares the college fee with one year's gross CTC. Tax, living costs and hostel aren't included.
Understanding CTC
CTC (cost to company) is your fixed salary plus any variable or performance pay, the employer's PF share and other benefits, all added up. On a ₹6 LPA CTC, your monthly in-hand will be well under ₹50,000 after deductions. When you're comparing two offers, look at the fixed salary, the actual job and the city. Don't just pick the bigger CTC.
Check These Before You Sign an Offer
- How much of the CTC is fixed, and how much depends on performance?
- What's the actual job: software, core engineering, sales, support or trainee?
- Which city, and what are the shift timings?
- Is there a training bond or a clause to pay money back if you leave?
- When do you join, and is there a probation period?
Which Recruiters Take Which Branch
The 2025-26 sheet says which branches could apply to each company. Here's a sample, so you can see how open each one was.
| Company | Eligible Courses | Listed Package |
|---|---|---|
| ION Group | B.Tech CS, IT, ECE | ₹17 LPA |
| Infosys | All B.Tech branches, MCA | ₹3.6, ₹6.25, ₹7, ₹9.5, ₹11 and ₹16 LPA |
| SHL | B.Tech CSE, IT | ₹10.65 LPA |
| Info Edge India | B.Tech CSE, IT | ₹10 LPA |
| Rohde and Schwarz India | B.Tech ECE, M.Tech ECE | ₹8.5 to ₹10 LPA |
| Hashedin by Deloitte | B.Tech CSE | ₹8.1 LPA |
| Intellipaat | All B.Tech branches, MCA | ₹8 LPA |
| Averixis Solutions | All B.Tech branches | ₹8 LPA |
| HCL Technologies | B.Tech CSE, IT, ECE, EN | ₹4.5 LPA |
| TCS | All B.Tech branches, MCA | ₹3.46 and ₹7.30 LPA |
Infosys alone shows six different package levels. Same company, very different money, all depending on which role you clear.
Comparing AKGEC Placements With Another College
If you're comparing AKGEC with another college, ask both for the same things. Same passing-out year, same branch, number of eligible students, unique students placed, total offers, median CTC and number of companies. Ask if off-campus offers are counted too. If a college only tells you its highest package, it's telling you the least useful number of all.
