AKGEC Fees 2026-27: B.Tech, MCA, M.Tech and Hostel Fee Structure
Year-by-year fees for B.Tech and MCA, what a fee-waiver seat costs, M.Tech scholarship slabs, hostel rates, and the AKTU charges nobody mentions upfront
Here's the headline: a regular B.Tech at AKGEC costs ₹1,42,156 in year one and ₹4,98,124 over four years. It doesn't matter if you're in CSE or Civil, the bill is identical. MCA comes to ₹2,54,412 for two years. M.Tech's first year is ₹1,19,256. If UPTAC gives you a fee-waiver seat, the whole B.Tech drops to ₹93,556, which is a massive difference. Hostel isn't in any of these numbers (₹1,40,000 for a triple room), and AKTU sends its own exam and library bill too.
What's New: AKGEC Fees 2026-27
- B.Tech 2026-27: ₹1,42,156 for the first year, ₹4,98,124 in all.
- Same fee for all nine branches if you come in through regular entry.
- Fee-waiver B.Tech: ₹41,014 in year one, ₹93,556 for the full course.
- Triple-seater hostel for first-years is ₹1,40,000, with ₹10,000 of that refundable.
- Scored 80% in B.Tech? M.Tech tuition is fully covered. AKGEC's own graduates need only 75%.
AKGEC Fee Structure 2026-27: Overview
Most of what you pay each year is one item: tuition and development, ₹1,11,256. Around it sit a few small charges, ₹1,500 for registration, ₹1,500 medical and ₹2,900 for the book bank in B.Tech. Year one costs about ₹21,500 more than year two. Why? Three one-time items. There's a ₹10,000 activity fee, ₹10,000 for career planning and placement, and ₹5,000 caution money that comes back to you at the end. Year two has its own small extra, ₹3,500 for the personality development programme (PDP). The last year adds ₹1,000 for convocation. One more thing: the college clearly says the State Government or the Fee Fixation Committee can revise these amounts. So go by the demand letter for your batch, not last year's screenshot.
We couldn't find a separate application fee for B.Tech on AKGEC's fee page. UPTAC takes its own registration fee, and whatever you pay during counselling is subtracted from your first-year bill. At reporting, ask accounts to write down the balance for you.
AKGEC Course-wise Fees 2026-27
Full-course totals from the 2026-27 sheet. Scroll down for the year-by-year split of each course.
| Course | Total Tuition Fees |
|---|---|
| B.Tech (all branches, standard entry) (9) | ₹4,98,124 |
| B.Tech (fee-waiver seat) (9) | ₹93,556 |
| B.Tech lateral entry (3 years) (9) | ₹3,75,768 to ₹3,77,868 |
| MCA (1) | ₹2,54,412 |
| M.Tech (first year only) (4) | ₹1,19,256 |
These totals are the college's academic fee, caution money included. AKTU's exam and library fees, hostel and bus are separate.
AKGEC Programme-wise Fees 2026-27
One card per course: the yearly amounts and what it adds up to.
Year one is ₹1,42,156. After that it's ₹1,20,656, then ₹1,17,156, then ₹1,18,156. Total: ₹4,98,124. And yes, that's the same for CSE, AI-ML, Data Science, CS (Hindi), IT, ECE, Mechanical, EEE and Civil. Pick your branch for the subject, not the fee. The ₹5,000 caution money tucked into the first year is returned when you finish.
The amounts for years 2 to 4 are provisional. AKTU bills ₹7,500 for exams and ₹1,000 for its digital library separately.
A fee-waiver (FW) seat is its own category inside UPTAC counselling. Land one and the ₹1,11,256 tuition simply isn't charged. Instead you pay a ₹10,114 development fee each year, plus the usual small charges. Four years come to ₹93,556. That's ₹4,04,568 cheaper than a regular seat. You can't walk up to the college and ask for it, though. It only comes through UPTAC allotment, and the counselling rules decide who's eligible.
We added up the four published year totals to get this. AKTU fees are still payable.
You join in the second year, so you pay for three. The fee sheet groups branches a little oddly, and the totals differ by a few hundred rupees from one group to the next. Take the CSE group (CSE, CSE-AIML, CSE-DS): ₹1,42,356 in your first year at AKGEC, then ₹1,16,356, then ₹1,17,356. That's ₹3,76,068. Electrical and Electronics is the lowest at ₹3,75,768. Civil is the highest at ₹3,77,868.
Check which group your branch code falls under in the admission letter. Later-year amounts may change.
Two years, ₹2,54,412. That's ₹1,35,956 in the first year and ₹1,18,456 in the second. The first-year number is higher because of a ₹5,000 activity fee, ₹3,500 PDP, ₹5,000 for career planning and placement and ₹5,000 caution money (refundable). Separately, the admission guide shows a fee-waiver MCA seat at ₹34,814 for year one, with the library charge cut to ₹700.
AKTU's ₹7,500 exam fee and ₹1,000 library fee are extra. So is the hostel.
M.Tech is billed semester by semester. Semester one is ₹63,628 since registration, medical and the ₹5,000 caution money are added to it. Semester two is ₹55,628. So the first year is ₹1,19,256, same for all four specialisations. Second-year figures aren't up on the website yet. In practice, a lot of M.Tech students pay much less than this. AKGEC knocks off tuition for anyone with 65% or more in B.Tech.
For M.Tech, AKTU's exam fee is ₹10,000 and the library fee ₹1,000. Both extra.
AKGEC Hostel Fees 2026-27
There are six hostels on campus, three for boys and three for girls. What you pay covers the room and the mess for the year, plus a ₹10,000 security deposit you get back later. First-year girls are put in non-AC triple rooms. First-year boys mostly get non-AC doubles, with some triples. Here's the problem: there aren't enough rooms, boys' rooms especially. A committee decides who gets one. So put in your hostel form on the day you report, not a week later.
Other Charges at AKGEC
All of these come on top of what's in the fee schedule.
How to Pay AKGEC Fees
You can pay by demand draft, pay order, or online through NEFT or RTGS. Only send money to the account printed on AKGEC's official fee notice. Never hand cash to an agent who promises to "manage" anything. Keep every receipt till you graduate. If you need a loan, the college says its fee structure works as the demand letter your bank will ask for.
AKGEC Scholarships and Fee Concessions
Any scholarship at AKGEC is taken off the tuition and development fee, ₹1,11,256 a year. Hostel, registration, medical and AKTU charges don't change.
B.Tech (JEE Main AIR 1 to 10,000)
100% of tuition; you pay ₹0 tuition a year
B.Tech (AIR 10,001 to 15,000)

M.Tech (65% to 80%+ in B.Tech)
25% to 100% of tuition; alumni need 5% less
B.Tech fee-waiver seat
Tuition replaced by a ₹10,114 development fee, through UPTAC
Keeping it is the hard part. From year two, B.Tech and MCA students need over 90% attendance, a CGPA above 7.5 and zero carry-over papers.
Your First-Year Budget at AKGEC
Most families get the shock in year one. The one-time charges, the hostel deposit and AKTU's fees all hit together. This table shows the first-year bill if AKTU charges both its fees that year, with and without a hostel room.
| Course | College Fee | AKTU Fees | With Triple Hostel | Day Scholar Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| B.Tech | ₹1,42,156 | ₹8,500 | ₹2,90,656 | ₹1,50,656 |
| B.Tech (fee-waiver seat) | ₹41,014 | ₹8,500 | ₹1,89,514 | ₹49,514 |
| MCA | ₹1,35,956 | ₹8,500 | ₹2,84,456 | ₹1,44,456 |
| M.Tech | ₹1,19,256 | ₹11,000 | Ask the college | ₹1,30,256 |
Don't forget books, a laptop, travel and pocket money. Day scholars, add your bus fee too.
What Your B.Tech Costs After a Scholarship
The scholarship only touches tuition, which is ₹4,45,024 across four years. The other stuff, roughly ₹53,100, you still pay. We've assumed here that you keep the scholarship every single year.
| JEE Main AIR | Scholarship | Tuition Saved (4 Years) | B.Tech Total You Pay |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 10,000 | 100% | ₹4,45,024 | ₹53,100 |
| 10,001 to 15,000 | 75% | ₹3,33,768 | ₹1,64,356 |
| 15,001 to 20,000 | 50% | ₹2,22,512 | ₹2,75,612 |
| 20,001 to 25,000 | 25% | ₹1,11,256 | ₹3,86,868 |
| Above 25,000 | None | ₹0 | ₹4,98,124 |
Worked out on the published fee. Note that the scholarship page was last touched in August 2024. Ask admissions whether the slabs still hold for 2026-27.
Why Is the First Year the Costliest?
Go through the B.Tech sheet line by line and it makes sense. Year one has ₹25,000 of one-time money in it: activity, career planning and placement, and the caution deposit. Year two falls to ₹1,20,656, and even that includes ₹3,500 for PDP. Year three is the cheapest of the four, ₹1,17,156. Year four ticks up by ₹1,000 for convocation. Taking a loan? Plan the first payout around ₹1.42 lakh, plus hostel if you need it.
Is the AKGEC Fee Worth It?
Put the fee next to the placement data. In the 2025 brochure, 472 students got between ₹5 and 10 LPA and 520 got under ₹5 LPA. Say you get a ₹5 LPA job. One year's gross salary roughly equals the whole ₹4,98,124 B.Tech fee. For an AKTU college in NCR, we'd call that a fair deal. It looks different for outstation students, since hostel adds around ₹1.4 lakh a year. If you can commute from home, that's the biggest saving you'll make.
Fee-Waiver Seat vs JEE Scholarship
People mix these two up all the time. A fee-waiver seat is a UPTAC category with its own fee sheet, ₹93,556 for four years. A JEE scholarship is AKGEC's own reward on a normal seat, based on your All India Rank. Can you get both? The college doesn't say. Ask before you count on it.
B.Tech Fee, Item by Item
Here's every line on the 2026-27 B.Tech sheet. Tuition and development stays flat. The ups and downs come from the one-time items in year one, PDP in year two and convocation at the end.

Regular Seat, Fee-Waiver Seat or Lateral Entry: Cost Compared
| Route | Years at AKGEC | Total College Fee | Fee per Year (Average) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Regular B.Tech | 4 | ₹4,98,124 | About ₹1,24,500 |
| Fee-waiver B.Tech | 4 | ₹93,556 | About ₹23,400 |
| Lateral entry (CSE group) | 3 | ₹3,76,068 | About ₹1,25,400 |
| MCA | 2 | ₹2,54,412 | About ₹1,27,200 |
We just divided the total by the number of years. AKTU fees and hostel aren't in here.
Planning an Education Loan
Banks give education loans against the fee demand, and AKGEC says its fee structure can serve as that letter. For a regular B.Tech, the college's own fee is ₹4,98,124 across four years. Living in the hostel adds ₹1,40,000 in the first year alone. Hostel rates for later years aren't on the new-student page yet. Two things to ask your bank: will it cover hostel and AKTU fees as well, and can it release money year by year in line with AKGEC's schedule? You don't want to be paying interest on money that's sitting idle.
What the Medical Charge Covers
That ₹1,500 medical charge each year is more useful than it sounds. According to the fee notice, it brings insurance plus hospital and OPD benefits, and you get cashless treatment at the Dr. R.S.G. (Indo-German) Hospital right on campus. Ask what the insurance limit is and what's not covered. Better to know now than in an emergency.
Before You Pay
- Make sure you're looking at the right sheet: branch, seat type (regular, fee-waiver or lateral) and year.
- Find out what's left to pay after your UPTAC deposit is adjusted.
- If you have a scholarship, get the slab, the rupee amount and the renewal rules on paper.
- Ask which room type you're getting, and whether a room is actually free for you.
- Keep some money aside for AKTU's exam and library fees. They come later, separately.
- Pay only to the bank details on akgec.ac.in. Save every receipt.
