NDIM Scholarships 2026-27: Merit Scholarship, Fee Rebates, Eligibility and How to Apply

Last updated: October 2026

Important: The ₹2.5 Crore Pool Is Not an Individual Award

NDIM says the scholarship amount depends on your exam and percentile. It never says every eligible student gets one. It doesn't tell you how many awards there are or what the current brackets are, either. So think of the pool as the institute's scholarship budget, not as something you are owed.

What this means for you

  • Ask for the current brackets: what you get depends on your exam and percentile.
  • Keep your scorecards handy: every merit award starts from them.
  • Get it in writing: amount, duration and conditions, all before you pay the fee.
  • Check it for your course: the fee page is part of the PGDM admissions information.

Eligibility, amounts and renewal rules can change from one intake to the next. Your written award letter beats any guide, this one included.

How Scholarships Work at NDIM

NDIM's scholarships are merit-based, with separate rebates for certain family and regional backgrounds.

  1. Merit is the main route, judged on your entrance percentile and academic record.
  2. How much you get depends on the exam and the percentile you score.
  3. Rebate categories run next to merit, but no fixed percentage is published.
  4. Everyone applies through the official portal and has to clear the GD and PI.
  5. NDIM hasn't said if you can club a merit scholarship with a rebate.
  6. Renewal rules aren't set out on the fee page.

NDIM Category Rebates

These have nothing to do with your marks. NDIM names the categories, but doesn't give a percentage or rupee value for any of them.

Defence and Paramilitary Rebate

For wards of defence and paramilitary services personnel.

Sibling Rebate

For siblings of current NDIM students or NDIM alumni.

NDIM BBA and B.Com Students

Listed as a rebate category.

Single Parent Rebate

NDIM Scholarship Rules You Should Know

Read these before you count on a waiver.

  1. A pool is not a guarantee The ₹2.5 crore pool is the institute's published scholarship budget. Hitting a score doesn't mean you automatically get an award, and NDIM doesn't say how many awards there are.

Don't plan your budget around an expected waiver.

  2. Combining benefits is unclear The fee page says scholarships and/or rebates, but doesn't say whether you can have more than one. Ask NDIM if you get a single benefit or a combination.
  3. Renewal rules are not published The page doesn't say if the award carries on into the second year. Ask what conditions could affect it.
    • CGPA requirement
    • Attendance
    • Conduct
    • Backlogs
    • Fee-payment conditions

Get the renewal terms in writing before you pay.

  4. Rules can differ by programme The fee page is part of the PGDM admissions information. Confirm whether it applies to PGDM, PGDM (Marketing), PGDM (Financial Management) or any other course.
  5. Government schemes follow their own rules Central, state and NGO scholarships each have their own eligibility and deadlines, and some need you to apply on a government portal. Don't trust old scheme names and dates without checking the current notice.

How to Apply for an NDIM Scholarship

You start with the admission application itself.

  1. Check the fee and admissions pages on ndimdelhi.org for your course and intake.
  2. Fill the online form and pay the ₹1,000 application fee (non-refundable). Check the live portal before you pay.
  3. Keep your Class 10, Class 12 and graduation mark sheets and entrance scorecard ready.
  4. For a category rebate, ask NDIM what proof they want: service proof, sibling relationship, domicile, caste or category certificate, or single-parent status.
  5. Ask for the current scholarship form, timeline and merit brackets, and whether you need to apply separately.
  6. Attend the GD and PI process if invited.
  7. Before paying the full fee, get the amount, which fee head it applies to, duration, renewal conditions and refund adjustment in writing.

For questions, call the admissions office on 011-40111000 or 1-800-419-0606.

Is an NDIM Scholarship Worth Chasing?

It can be, if you look at the cost of the whole course. A scholarship or rebate brings the cost down, but a published pool is not a confirmed award. Compare the confirmed amount with the full fee schedule, check if it renews, and then add living, hostel and travel costs.

  • Which scholarship or rebate fits my course and intake?
  • What is the exact amount, in rupees and as a percentage of the fee?
  • Which score or marks bracket applies to me?
  • Is the pool still open for my intake?
  • Can merit and a category rebate be combined?
  • Is the award only for the first year, or for both years?
  • What CGPA, attendance or no-backlog conditions apply?
  • Will the amount and conditions be written in my offer letter?

Documents for Each Scholarship

NDIM's fee page doesn't give a full scholarship document list, so use this as a prep list and follow whatever the current instructions say.

Common Mistakes That Cost Students Their Scholarship

  • Thinking the ₹2.5 crore pool means every eligible student gets an award.
  • Thinking a percentile guarantees a fixed percentage before the table is confirmed.
  • Going by an old brochure, last year's rule or some social-media post as the current policy.
  • Submitting incomplete or mismatched mark sheets, scorecards or category documents.
  • Adding up several rebates without written confirmation.
  • Paying the fee because you expect a waiver, instead of waiting for a written decision.

Scholarship vs Total Cost

For the 2027-29 batch, the PGDM fee is ₹14,00,000 for two years, and hostel and the optional international study tours are extra. Any scholarship you get comes off a bill that is bigger than the tuition line, so work out the full number first. Twin-sharing hostel rooms start at about ₹11,000 per month.
