LIET Admission 2026-27: B.Tech Eligibility, UPTAC Counselling, Direct Admission, BCA, MCA and M.Tech
Admission 2026-27 at LIET is open for B.Tech, B.Tech lateral entry, BCA, MCA and M.Tech at the Knowledge Park II campus in Greater Noida. LIET is AICTE approved and affiliated to AKTU Lucknow, and its AKTU college code is 153.
B.Tech requires Class 12 with Physics and Maths and at least 45% (40% for reserved categories). There are two ways in: UPTAC counselling on your JEE Main rank, or LIET's direct-admission route with a test or interview. JEE Main isn't compulsory for the direct route. BCA and MCA accept CUET scores or direct admission, and 85% of MCA seats go through UP State Counselling.
This page takes you through eligibility, entrance routes, the personal interview, documents, scholarships at admission and the common mistakes that cost students their seats.

How LIET Admission Works
Your seat depends on several things at once.
Eligibility: Class 12 PCM marks for B.Tech, diploma or B.Sc. marks for lateral entry, and graduation marks for MCA and M.Tech.
Entrance score: JEE Main rank for UPTAC counselling, CUET for BCA and MCA, and GATE or CUET-PG for M.Tech where needed.
Counselling round and category: closing ranks change from round to round and vary by category and quota.
Direct admission: LIET's own test or personal interview, within AKTU and AICTE rules.
Seat availability: branch-wise intake decides how many seats remain.
Meeting the minimum doesn't guarantee a seat in a particular branch.

LIET Application Process 2026-27
The process has three stages: apply, get selected through counselling or the direct route, and then report and confirm your seat. Each stage is explained below.
Step 1: Registering and Applying
Start online.
- Read the current Admissions 2026-27 notice on the LIET website.
- Confirm eligibility, the branch, the selection route and the total fee.
- Register on the LIET admissions portal and fill the application or enquiry form.
- For B.Tech counselling, register on UPTAC as well and add LIET (code 153) to your choices.
- Enter your marks and scores exactly as on your certificates, and upload documents.
- Save your application number and screenshots.
Documents Required for LIET Admission
Keep originals and two self-attested photocopy sets ready.
- Class 10 mark sheet and certificate
- Class 12 mark sheet and certificate
- JEE Main scorecard and UPTAC allotment letter (counselling route)
- CUET scorecard (BCA / MCA)
- Diploma or B.Sc. mark sheets (lateral entry)
- Graduation mark sheets and degree (MCA / M.Tech)
- Aadhaar card and passport-size photographs
- Category, EWS, income, domicile or disability certificate if claimed
- Transfer or migration certificate if asked
- Scholarship proofs: defence service or sports certificates
Step 2: Counselling or Personal Interview
Students going through counselling follow the UPTAC choice-filling and seat-allotment schedule, while direct-admission students are told when to take LIET's test or interview. The personal interview is marked out of 100 and covers five areas: marks in your last exam, your personality, communication, co-curricular achievements and general awareness. It can be on Zoom or on campus.
Step 3: Reporting and Confirming Your Seat
With a UPTAC seat, report to LIET before the date on the letter, carrying the AKTU allotment letter, original documents and two self-attested photocopy sets. Direct-admission students report with their academic documents, a passport-size photo and Aadhaar. Go through the fee schedule, refund rules and scholarship conditions, pay through the official channel, and then complete document verification and enrolment.
