Lloyd Institute of Engineering & Technology (LIET) is a private engineering college at Plot No. 3, Knowledge Park II, Greater Noida. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, is its affiliating university, AICTE approves it and the Government of Uttar Pradesh recognises it. The AKTU college code is 153. LIET runs B.Tech in nine branches, B.Tech lateral entry, BCA, MCA and M.Tech CSE, and it leans clearly towards computer science, with AI and ML, Data Science and Cyber Security tracks under CSE. The college reports an average package of about 9.25 LPA, a highest package of 31.25 LPA and 300+ recruiters.
Education portals say LIET was set up in 2002, and the college speaks of a legacy of more than 24 years. A banner on its website, however, reads "Established Since 2004". In either case, it has been around for over two decades. LIET is the engineering arm of the Lloyd Group of Institutions, which also runs separate colleges for management, law, pharmacy and forensic science. Mr. Manohar Thairani, who is listed as President of the Lloyd incubation foundation, leads the group.
The pitch at LIET is straightforward: theory from the AKTU syllabus, along with as much hands-on work as possible. That includes lab projects, internships, an incubator, skill-centre courses, student clubs and guest lectures by industry people. The college also promotes an engineering co-op model, in which industry work is part of the curriculum. Before you count on it, ask which companies take part and how many credits it carries.
The campus is at Plot No. 3, Knowledge Park II, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201306. Knowledge Park is among the busiest college zones in Delhi NCR, so you'll find hostels, PGs and food options easily nearby.

There are two ways into B.Tech at LIET. Most students come through UPTAC counselling on their JEE Main rank. Others take the direct route: fill in the enquiry form, sit a test or interview, and report with documents. MCA seats are divided 85% state counselling and 15% management quota, and BCA and MCA accept CUET scores as well.
| Course | Eligibility |
|---|---|
| B.Tech | Class 12 with Physics and Maths, 45% aggregate (40% reserved); Indian citizen |
| B.Tech Lateral | Engineering diploma or B.Sc. with Maths, 45% (40% reserved) |
| BCA | Class 12; portals quote 50% with Maths |
| MCA | 3-year degree with 50% (45% SC/ST) and Maths at Class 12 or graduation |
| M.Tech | B.E./B.Tech with 50% (45% reserved); GATE / CUET-PG or institute route |
LIET's interview is marked out of 100. It covers your last exam marks, your personality, how well you communicate, your co-curricular record and general awareness. You can book it on Zoom or attend in person.
No. You can come in through UPTAC on a JEE Main rank, or take the direct-admission route with a test or interview.
Class 12 with Physics and Maths and 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories).
LIET doesn't have a fixed cutoff of its own. B.Tech closing ranks come from UPTAC and run into the lakhs, so students with modest JEE Main ranks still get seats. In 2026 Round 1, CSE closed anywhere from about 3.07 lakh to 15.2 lakh depending on category, and Round 3 for General category closed between 12,21,598 and 13,38,740.
| Branch | Opening Rank | Closing Rank |
|---|---|---|
| CSE | 1,85,467 | 7,45,542 |
| CSE (AI and ML) | 2,05,809 | 13,17,360 |
| CSE (Data Science) | 2,17,381 | 10,58,767 |
| CSE (Cyber Security) | 4,47,030 | 13,90,434 |
| ECE | 7,10,621 | 11,95,249 |
| EEE | 9,73,753 | 10,96,129 |
| Civil | 9,84,786 | 9,84,786 |
The closing rank is the weakest rank that still got a seat. Ranks drift lower in later rounds as seats stay empty, so a rank that misses CSE in Round 1 may still get it later. Branch, category and quota all change the number.
No single number exists. In 2026 Round 1, CSE closing ranks ranged from about 3.07 lakh to 15.2 lakh across categories.
Yes. Closing ranks run into the lakhs, and there is a direct-admission route.
