Pattern to follow while solving JEE Main papers

- MCQ: +4 correct, −1 wrong, 0 skipped

Older papers may have a different number of questions. Use the current pattern for timing and the paper's own count for scoring.
How to practise with JEE Main previous year papers
- 1Set a timer for each section (Mathematics: Within 3 hours, Physics: Within 3 hours, Chemistry: Within 3 hours, Total: 180 minutes) and do not move time from one section to another.
- 2Attempt the sections in the exam order, all 150 questions: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Total.
- 3Score yourself with the JEE Main marking scheme: +4 for a correct answer and −1 for a wrong one (MCQ).
- 4Check every wrong and skipped question against the answer key, then read the solution for each one.
- 5Write down the topic behind each mistake and practise that topic before you take the next paper.
- 6Keep the two latest papers for the final month and take them as full mocks.
