JEE Main 2027 Eligibility Criteria
The 2027 bulletin does not prescribe an age limit for appearing; individual admission rules may apply.
Candidates must have passed or be appearing in an eligible Class 12/equivalent examination listed in the bulletin.
Generally candidates passing Class 12/equivalent in 2025 or 2026, or appearing in 2027, are covered; verify the exact bulletin language.

Programme-specific Class 12 subject requirements, including Mathematics, apply.
Programme-specific qualifying examination and Mathematics requirements apply.
Institutions can require minimum marks, subjects or additional conditions; exam eligibility alone does not guarantee a seat.
SC/ST/OBC-NCL/Gen-EWS/PwD/PwBD claims require accurate category details and valid supporting documents.
This is a summary. Read the current NTA bulletin and the relevant institution/counselling rules.

Syllabus
JEE Main 2027 Answer Key
NTA generally publishes provisional answer keys and recorded responses, followed by a challenge window and final key. Exact 2027 dates and fees must be checked in the official notice. A challenge does not guarantee that the answer key will be changed.
How to challenge the answer key
- 1Visit the official website after the answer-key notice appears.
- 2Open the key and recorded-response link for the correct session/paper.
- 3Log in with the credentials requested.
- 4Compare responses with the provisional key.
- 5Submit a challenge within the stated deadline and pay the prescribed fee if needed.
- 6Save confirmation and check the final key/result notice.
JEE Main 2027 Result
NTA publishes session-wise NTA scores and prepares the combined merit/rank after Session 2. For candidates appearing in both sessions, the best total NTA score is used. Exact 2027 result dates are not announced.
How the score is calculated
- Raw marks follow the final answer key and official marking scheme.
- NTA applies normalisation/percentile procedures across shifts.
- For candidates taking both sessions, the best total NTA score is used, not the best score from each individual subject combined.
- Merit and tie-breaks follow the information bulletin.
How to download the scorecard
- 1Open the official website when the result link is active.
- 2Select the relevant session/result link.
- 3Log in with requested credentials.
- 4Download and check subject scores, total NTA score, rank and qualification status.
- 5Save copies for counselling and admission.
JEE Main 2027 Marks vs Percentile
| Expected scaled score | Expected percentile | Range | What it can mean |
|---|---|---|---|
| 200–300 | No fixed conversion | Often a strong score band; actual percentile varies. | |
| 150–199 | No fixed conversion | Competitiveness depends on shift, rank, category and year. | |
| 100–149 | No fixed conversion | Wide range of outcomes; use official NTA score. | |
| Below 100 | No fixed conversion | Percentile cannot be inferred from raw marks alone. |
Marks-to-percentile varies by shift difficulty, candidate distribution and normalisation; there is no guaranteed fixed conversion. These are illustrative mark bands, not official percentile predictions.
JEE Main 2027 Expected Cutoff
JEE Main 2027 cutoffs have not been released. The JEE Advanced qualifying cutoff is category-wise and published after results; college/branch cutoffs are typically expressed as opening and closing ranks in JoSAA/CSAB or other admission rounds. Historical cutoffs can guide planning only; do not reuse them as the 2027 cutoff.
| College | Expected percentile (General) | Range (60-100) |
|---|---|---|
| General / OPEN | Not announced | |
| Gen-EWS | Not announced | |
| OBC-NCL | Not announced | |
| SC | Not announced | |
| ST | Not announced | |
| PwD/PwBD | Use official category/subcategory notice |
Sectional cutoff
| College group | Sectional percentile |
|---|---|
| JEE Advanced eligibility | Do not assume a separate fixed subject-wise qualifying percentile; follow the official notice. |
| NITs/IIITs/GFTIs | Admission depends on rank, category, programme, quota and counselling round. |
| Other institutions | Institution/state-specific requirements may apply. |
