Lloyd Institute of Forensic Science Courses 2026-27: B.Sc. + M.Sc. Forensic Science, M.Sc., Fingerprint and Document Examination Diplomas
Lloyd Institute of Forensic Science (LIFS) is in Knowledge Park II, Greater Noida, and the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) lists four of its programmes for 2026-27. Students coming out of Class 12 can take the five-year integrated B.Sc. + M.Sc. Forensic Science. Science graduates can pick the two-year M.Sc. Forensic Science. Then there are two specialist diplomas, Fingerprint Science and Forensic Document Examination.

Specialist training in fingerprint identification and classification.
Fingerprint science is about examining, comparing, documenting and interpreting friction-ridge impressions. Doing it properly takes validated methods, careful records and compliance with legal procedures.
There are two routes in, according to NFSU's sheet. One needs a bachelor's in Science, Medicine, Forensic Science, Pharmacy or Engineering with 50%. The other needs a relevant bachelor's with 50% plus five years of fingerprint-science experience in a government organisation. LIFS's page, on the other hand, says any graduate with 50% (45% for SC/ST/PwD) can apply. Selection is on merit, with 60 seats.
NFSU lists six months, while LIFS says one year (two semesters). At ₹20,000 a semester, you'd pay ₹20,000 or ₹40,000 in tuition, depending on which is right.
