B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering at Mangalmay
The flagship tech course at MIET: four years, eight semesters, AKTU degree.
B.Tech CSE is built around the entire software development cycle. There's engineering theory, but much of the time goes into coding bootcamps. You can expect Java, Python and C++, database systems, algorithms, data structures, compiler design and deploying apps on the cloud.
The fee is ₹1,29,000 a year and doesn't change, so ₹5,16,000 over four years. Eligibility is 60% in Class 12 with Physics and Maths, plus Chemistry, Biotech or Biology. Most seats are allotted through JEE Main and UPTAC counselling.
After graduating, most students move into software engineering, system architecture, web development, full-stack development and DevOps roles. The top B.Tech offer on record is ₹37 LPA.
What matters here is what you get on top of the AKTU syllabus. CSE students can add AWS, Blockchain, IoT and Big Data modules, choose a minor in EV or Robotics, and practise in the Advanced Computing and Oracle Academy labs. A 6 to 8 week summer internship falls in the middle of the course, and the annual Mega Job Fair brings 50+ companies to campus.
CSE receives the most applications, so its seats go faster than AI or Data Science. If CSE closes in your UPTAC round, the other two branches cost the same and lead to similar software roles.

B.Tech Artificial Intelligence at Mangalmay
For students who want to build smart systems, automation tools and robotic workflows.
In the AI branch, some of the general computer modules are replaced by machine learning algorithms, neural networks, natural language processing (NLP), cognitive automation and computer vision.
The fee and eligibility are the same as B.Tech CSE: ₹1,29,000 a year and 60% in Class 12 PCM. If maths appeals to you and you'd rather work on models than websites, this is the branch to consider.

A branch focused on data engineering, statistics and business intelligence.
Here you learn to work with large volumes of unstructured business data, build predictive analytics platforms and present results using Tableau, Power BI, R and advanced Python.
It costs the same as CSE and AI (₹5,16,000 over four years) and has the same 60% PCM requirement.

If you're torn between AI and Data Science, here's a tip: Data Science leans more towards statistics and business reporting, so it suits students who enjoy explaining numbers to people. AI leans more towards building models. Both use the Web Tech and Analytics Lab and share the same placement pool.

BCA at Mangalmay
A three-year computer applications degree under CCS University Meerut.
BCA is the gentler route into IT. Heavy physics or maths isn't needed, yet you still pick up programming logic, web design, app interfaces, Android and iOS deployment, network security and cloud storage on AWS and Oracle.
The fee is ₹84,000 a year, which makes ₹2,52,000 for three years, and admission is on Class 12 merit with at least 50% (English compulsory).

BCA or B.Tech: What Should You Pick?
BCA costs ₹2,52,000 for three years and doesn't require PCM, whereas B.Tech costs ₹5,16,000 for four years and requires 60% in PCM. B.Tech has the higher placement ceiling (₹37 LPA top offer) and an AKTU degree. BCA is a cheaper, quicker way into IT, and you can add an MCA or MBA afterwards.
MBA or MBA++?
Both lead to the same AKTU degree. For ₹2,21,000 more over two years as per the year-wise sheet, MBA++ adds certifications in digital marketing, GST and analytics, along with stock simulations and leadership camps. It can make sense if you'd otherwise pay outside for these certificates.

What You Pay Over the Full Course
To see the real number, add hostel to tuition. A B.Tech student in a 3-seater room pays ₹5,16,000 in tuition plus ₹4,00,000 for four years of hostel, which comes to about ₹9,16,000 before exam fees. A BCA or BBA student in the same room pays ₹2,52,000 plus ₹3,00,000, about ₹5,52,000. University exam fees from AKTU or CCS University are extra.
