LBSIM Application Process, Step by Step

The whole process runs online through the official LBSIM form portal, with a separate route for FPM. Work experience isn't compulsory for PGDM, so freshers and candidates with up to three years of experience can apply. Eligibility — PGDM: a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks, plus a valid CAT, XAT or GMAT score; final-year students can apply if they will finish their degree by July 2027; FPM: a master's degree with at least 60% marks, plus one of the accepted exams. Selection weightage — CAT / XAT / GMAT score: 60%; extempore, personal interview, academics and work experience: 40%. LBSIM looks at your overall score, not sectional scores.

Step 1: Registering on the Admission Portal and Filling the Form

Here's how the application goes:

  1. Open the official LBSIM application portal and register with your personal, academic and contact details.
  2. Fill in your personal and academic information, along with your CAT, XAT or GMAT details.
  3. Upload the required documents.
  4. Pay the application fee (₹1,500 before 15 November, ₹2,200 after). The fee is noted as refundable.
  5. Review everything before you submit. LBSIM generally locks the form after submission, so you cannot edit it later.
  6. Step 2 — Shortlisting: LBSIM shortlists candidates based on your exam score, academics, work experience and the details in your form.
